Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract is for an experienced Neuro/Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse working 12-hour night shifts in Marion, Illinois. The assignment focuses on neuro and neurosurgical patients, including those recovering from strokes, elective back and neck surgeries, and cerebral angiograms. Responsibilities include completing detailed neurological assessments, NIHSS evaluations, dysphagia screenings, basic telemetry interpretation, strict intake and output monitoring, medication and heparin infusion management, blood product administration, venipuncture, blood cultures, NG tube care, and drain management. The nurse may also float to the medical unit to care for medical overflow patients. Every other weekend and every other holiday are required.
