Job Description:

This ER Registered Nurse role places you at the forefront of emergency care, providing vital services in a busy community hospital setting in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Over a 13-week contract, you'll work 12-hour mids shifts, primarily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, joining a team that manages a wide array of pediatric and adult emergencies. The role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, managing complex cases including trauma, respiratory emergencies, and psychiatric crises, all while utilizing advanced certifications like BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, and PALS. Expect to float across different departments as needed and take on varied responsibilities such as IV therapy, airway management, and interpretation of cardiac rhythms—delivering critical care when it matters most.

This role involves working in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department equipped for high-acuity cases, including STEMI and stroke interventions. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, with a focus on trauma, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies. Certifications such as BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory, along with skills in pediatric and neurological emergencies, IV management, and cardiac monitoring.
