Job Description:

Join a travel contract as a Step-Down Registered Nurse caring for advanced cardiac and post-operative patients on 12-hour night shifts. You will manage continuous telemetry, cardiac drips, and patients recovering from CABG, valve procedures, mitral clips, TAVR, thoracotomy, and other complex cardiothoracic cases. The assignment also includes caring for patients with chest tubes, pneumothorax, hemothorax, and other advanced respiratory needs. Nurses should be comfortable interpreting cardiac rhythms, titrating drips, using EPIC, and supporting a targeted 1:4–6 patient ratio. Be prepared to float to medically appropriate units or nearby campuses as needed—your cardiac expertise may become the unit’s secret weapon.
