Job Description:

Join a reputable Medical Center in Winston-Salem as a Skilled MedSurg/Tele RN. This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care to adults with a variety of diagnoses, including diabetics, GI issues, respiratory conditions, renal problems, and wound management. You will work with patients who have chest tubes, trachs, lab draws, and require IV starts and medication management such as Heparin and PCA pumps. The unit emphasizes teamwork, with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6 for RNs and 1:9-10 for CNAs, all within a patient-centered hospital that’s recognized for its trauma, stroke, and chest pain centers. Expect engaging shifts from early mornings to late evenings, supported by a collaborative staff, including charge nurses, phlebotomists, and resource teams. Your expertise in telemetry, chest tubes, and high-stress situation management will be vital in this lively environment. This assignment offers the chance to witness the complexity of adult acute care while working with advanced technology like Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensers.
