Job Description:

Join a fast-paced step down unit in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where you will support patients transitioning from high acuity care. As a Step Down Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in managing general medical and oncology patients. Your expertise in administering chemotherapy via IV and starting IVs will be vital in ensuring optimal care. The team utilizes state-of-the-art equipment such as Welch Allyn Vital sign towers and sigma IV pumps, with EPIC for seamless documentation. Expect a collaborative environment where you'll have the opportunity to float to other medical-surgical areas while maintaining a manageable nurse-to-patient ratio. You can anticipate block scheduling and a commitment to work every other weekend, providing a rhythm that fits into your life. On nights, you'll work three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, balancing the demands of the job with your personal time.
