Job Description:

Join our team as a Step Down Registered Nurse in the vibrant city of Kalamazoo, Michigan! In this exciting role, you will be providing vital care for patients transitioning from intensive settings, specifically in our General Medical/Oncology Step Down Unit. Your expertise in administering chemotherapy via IV and starting IVs will play a crucial part in our patients' recovery journeys.

You’ll work the night shift, with three 12-hour shifts per week, allowing you ample time to explore your surroundings during the day. Reporting to a supportive managerial team, you will engage in hands-on patient care while utilizing top-notch equipment, including Welch Allyn Vital Sign towers and Sigma IV pumps, all within a well-equipped EPIC documentation environment.

We require that you have an ONCC or ONS certification in hand, along with a Michigan RN License and BLS certification. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 4-6, with support staff available should the ratios flex. Flexibility is key, as you may float to other medical/surgical areas as needed.
