Job Description:

Join our team in Albany, Georgia as a dedicated Stepdown Unit Nurse, where your expertise in cardiac care will shine in a vibrant acute care setting. This role offers you the opportunity to engage directly with patients recovering from cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgeries, such as CABGs, stents, and other intricate procedures. You’ll be part of a dynamic group where teamwork is emphasized, and every day brings new challenges and rewards.

Spend your days working 12-hour shifts in a structured unit that emphasizes safety and support, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 5. With a focus on cardiovascular patients, you’ll manage critical drips, read cardiac strips, and collaborate with the hospitalist and intensivist teams available 24/7. Expect a fast-paced environment where admissions and discharges occur frequently, enhancing your skills and resilience.

In addition to providing high-quality nursing care, you will play a crucial role in the education and orientation of new team members, sharing knowledge on the specifics of cardiac procedures and patient management. Bring your experience of at least 2 years in stepdown or similar settings and dive into a role that’s as rewarding as it is demanding!
