Job Description:

Step into a neuro-med surg role at Lutheran Hospital, where you'll be managing higher acuity patients with diagnoses such as stroke, seizures, and post-operative neuro surgeries. Your shift will be from 7 PM to 7 AM on a 12-hour night schedule, every other weekend, offering a rewarding opportunity to work with a specialized neuro-focused team. This assignment involves caring for level 2 trauma patients, post-ICU care, and a variety of complex conditions like DKA and renal failure. Expect a fast-paced environment that challenges your critical thinking skills, requiring expertise in neuro assessments, drain and chest tube management, and post-surgical care. Fans of a new routine will appreciate the ability to take up to one week of pre-approved time off during your 13-week stint. Local candidates are not accepted; this role is for travelers willing to be more than 50 miles from the facility.
