Job Description:

This travel nursing assignment in Lafayette, IN, offers the chance to work in a mixed acuity unit that handles medical, oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients. You'll be managing patients on various drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Insulin, particularly focusing on post-heart cath and post-pacemaker care. The role involves caring for medically complex patients with neuro needs, including unstable stroke cases and BiPap interventions, all while maintaining solid neuro experience. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, providing a dynamic environment where adaptability and technical skills are essential. Expect to be immersed in a fast-paced setting that combines medical surgical and progressive levels of care, with patient ratios ranging from 1:3 to 1:6 depending on acuity.
