Job Description:

This MedSurg RN contract offers a chance to work in a 25-bed unit where you'll primarily care for geriatric patients with conditions like CHF and COPD. The role involves 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., including floating to ICU if needed to assist with complex cases. You'll be responsible for performing general nursing duties, managing patient charts using Epic EMR, and utilizing Care Scape patient monitors and Pyxis medication dispersion. An experienced RN with at least two years in medical-surgical settings, ICU, and ER is ideal for this assignment, which emphasizes strong charting skills and adaptability. The position also entails being on call during low census periods and every other weekend or holiday, with a focus on reliable staffing in a small but busy hospital setting.
