Job Description:

Join our team as a MedSurg RN on a 13-week contract at Aspirus Iron River, where you'll provide essential nursing care to geriatric patients with conditions like CHF and COPD. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a weekly commitment of approximately 36 hours. You'll be floating to ICU when needed and may be on call during low census periods, giving you a variety of experiences beyond routine care. The perfect candidate will have at least two years of MedSurg experience, including ICU and ER, and be comfortable navigating charting systems like Epic EMR and Care Scape patient monitors. Expect to work on a 25-bed unit with patient ratios averaging 4-6 patients, caring primarily for patients with complex chronic conditions. This assignment offers a mix of independence and collaboration, with necessary certifications including MI RN license, BLS, and ACLS. The setting is rewarding for those looking to apply their skills in a hospital environment with diverse cases and a supportive team.
