Job Description:
This contract offers an engaging opportunity for experienced medical-surgical/telemetry RNs to work night shifts in a reputable teaching hospital in Concord, North Carolina. As a traveler, you'll handle a diverse patient mix, including oncology patients requiring chemo or biotherapy, those with neutropenic fever, and patients needing fluids or blood products. Your responsibilities will include advanced bedside procedures such as PIV starts, NG tube management, chest tube management, and handling various surgical drains. The role provides the chance to develop skills in port accessing (preferred but not required for Oncology RNs) and collaborate with a supportive team including CNAs, charge nurses, and resource staff. The unit's professional and team-oriented culture promises a rewarding environment as you contribute to patient care during your night shift for a 13-week assignment, working roughly 36 hours per week.

Job Specifics:
Location: Concord, North Carolina
Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 hours (every other weekend rotation)
Notes: This assignment requires a minimum of 18 months of Med/Surg/Tele RN experience, with a focus on surgical drains, chest tubes, and IV management. The assignment includes holiday work, with travelers covering roughly 75% of holidays, and allows up to 6 days of time off, which must be scheduled accordingly. The unit provides orientation, and travel floating is within the region, with travel time compensated when moving between facilities.
