Join a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, Maine, as a registered nurse specializing in progressive care unit (PCU) with a focus on trauma, neuro, and medical/surgical patients. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work night shifts in a busy hospital setting, caring for patients with conditions like strokes, post-op surgeries, respiratory failure, and cardiac events. Perfect for experienced travelers, your role will involve managing complex patients, performing neuro checks every two hours, and handling advanced drips such as cardiac medications and insulin. The atmosphere is lively and fast-paced, with the chance to collaborate with specialized teams including RTs, hospitalists, and trauma surgeons.
