Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers an engaging opportunity in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. As a stepdown nurse, you'll be responsible for caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac and vascular surgeries, including open heart procedures, thoracic surgeries, and vascular repairs. Your role will involve managing ventilated patients, monitoring telemetry, administering cardiac infusions, and performing procedures such as chest tube and epidural management. The 12-hour day shifts provide a consistent schedule for 36 hours per week over a 13-week period.
