Job Description:
This medical/surgical unit offers a unique opportunity for experienced healthcare professionals to step into a fast-paced environment where initial admissions and care are front and center. As a traveler here, you'll manage general medical and surgical patients, including those awaiting transfer to their assigned units after ER stays. You'll work on a 15-bed unit, primarily performing duties like initial patient assessments, documentation, and utilization of hospital equipment such as Epic, Zebra phones, Omnicell medication dispensers, and Aleris IV pumps. The role calls for a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt quickly, as you'll float between units as needed in this busy setting. Stepping into this position means engaging in a lively, evolving environment where your skills in trauma experience, Epic charting, and medical/surgical care will shine. The schedule features 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend and holiday off, giving you the perfect balance between work and downtime.
