Job Description:

Join this engaging surgical acute nursing role where you'll be working in a 34-bed adult surgical unit, performing standard pre-and post-operative care for procedures such as abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, and chest tube management. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience with equipment like vital signs monitors, IV and PCA pumps, and electronic charting systems. This assignment offers the opportunity to float across units, providing variety in your day-to-day activities while maintaining a patient ratio of approximately 1 RN to 5-6 patients. The schedule includes three 12-hour shifts weekly, giving you a balanced workweek in a setting that values professionalism and versatility. It's a chance to refine your skills in surgical nursing within a supportive environment.
