Job Description:

Join our team in Asheville for a 13-week contract in a busy Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU). You'll work 12-hour day shifts, providing critical support on the 4th floor of a modern hospital with a capacity of 20 beds. Your expertise with trauma surgical ICU procedures, including central line insertions, chest tubes, arterial lines, and percutaneous tracheostomies, will be vital. This role offers an engaging environment where you'll collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses and Certified Nurse Clinicians (CNCs). The unit is equipped with Camino ICP, CRRT, EVD, wound vacs, and arterial/CVC lines, all managed via Cerner EMR. Be prepared for staffing challenges with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3, and remember to bring your BLS and ACLS certifications. If you have TNCC or ATCN, you'll be a preferred candidate. This assignment provides a unique opportunity to experience a fast-paced setting that values teamwork and technical proficiency, all while working with a supportive staff committed to high standards of care.
