Job Description:

This travel nursing position is located in a busy 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit specializing in heavy telemetry, vent/trach management, and trauma care. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, providing bedside care to a diverse patient population with conditions including sepsis, GI bleed, stroke, and orthopedic trauma. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of acute care experience in stepdown or intermediate units, with ventilator and trach experience. Expect to float to higher acuity units as needed, with a focus on efficient charting in EPIC and managing a 4:1 patient ratio. This assignment offers a fast-paced environment that rewards resilience and independence, with a chance to make a significant impact on patient outcomes during your time in Wausau.
