Job Description:
This CVOR RN position offers an engaging opportunity to specialize in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures within a prestigious short-term acute care hospital. You’ll be primarily scrubbed and circulating for open-heart surgeries, vascular interventions, transplants, and complex pancreatic procedures like Whipples. Expect to work a 10-hour day shift, with rotations scheduled to keep you on your toes. The role involves floating within the service line as needed, providing a variety of challenging cases that keep your skills sharp.
The assignment emphasizes hands-on scrub and circulating responsibilities, perfect for a nurse with a minimum of two years of CVOR experience, ideally from a Level 1 trauma facility. While first-time travelers are accepted if the experience criteria are met, familiarity with EPIC charting and the ability to adapt to different procedures will be valued. The schedule typically includes weekday coverage with some weekend call shifts, planned in advance. CNurses should be comfortable with on-call duties, which will vary depending on unit needs.
Weather:
During this time of year, the weather tends to be mild with a pleasant mix of sunshine and cooler temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities and exploration.

- City Museum: Explore innovative art installations and interactive exhibits in a one-of-a-kind venue.
