Job Description:

Join a busy cardiothoracic surgery team in Wausau, Wisconsin, as a Surgical Technician specializing in cardiac and thoracic procedures. In this role, you'll set up operative suites, prepare case carts, and scrub in for a variety of surgeries including robotic thoracic cases. Expect to work at least two cardiothoracic surgeons handling around 50 to 60 cases monthly. The schedule features 8-hour days, with opportunities to float across all Central Aspirus locations if needed. You'll participate in a rotating call schedule, including weekend and holiday coverage, with a 30-minute response time. To excel, you should have at least 2 years of CVOR experience, familiarity with thoracic robotic surgery, and valid certifications such as BLS and CST license (AHA or ARC). The assignment offers high flexibility, resilience, and readiness during downtime tasks like cleaning and prepping case carts.
