Job Description:

Join us for an engaging night shift opportunity in Newport, Tennessee, where you'll provide specialized labor and postpartum care to patients in a 5-bed facility. This contract involves working 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) on a weekly basis, offering a unique chance to experience the quieter, more focused atmosphere of overnight care. You'll be responsible for managing laboring patients on a 1:1 basis and caring for postpartum patients with up to 3 babies, all while maintaining a professional yet approachable presence. Expect to communicate closely with physicians about patient changes and diagnostic results, ensuring seamless and comprehensive care delivery. This assignment is ideal for experienced nurses prepared to handle the swift pace of obstetric care in a specialized setting, working alongside a dedicated team during holiday coverage including Christmas Eve or Christmas Night. Your duties will involve direct and indirect patient care, emphasizing initiative and responsibility in accordance with professional standards, all within an environment that values precision and compassion.
