Job Description:
This contract provides a fantastic opportunity for registered nurses experienced in the PCU and trauma care to work in a Level II trauma center. You'll be responsible for managing a variety of patient conditions, including neuro strokes, post-op general surgeries, and cardiac patients such as those recovering from TAVR and ablations. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, offering a chance to experience the local community's vibrant nighttime atmosphere while supporting critically ill patients. Expect to perform neuro checks, ventilator management, IV starts, and drips like amio and insulin titrations. The role involves collaborating with a dedicated team of CNA, RT, and hospitalist staff, and working with advanced equipment like Cerner systems and GE monitors. This assignment is perfect for travelers who thrive in a fast-paced, specialized environment and enjoy the nuances of trauma and cardiac patient care.
