Job Description:

Join our team as a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) in a vibrant hospital setting where your expertise in psychiatric care will be truly valued. This contract opportunity involves working 12-hour day shifts in a department dedicated to adult psychiatric and geriatric populations, including patients with conditions such as dementia, depression, Parkinson's Disease, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will manage medication administration, IV starts, blood glucose monitoring, and patient safety in a secure, locked unit. Occasionally, you'll take on charge nurse responsibilities and float within scope to support different units. The setting offers a chance to work with a variety of medical and psychiatric co-morbidities, sometimes preparing patients for procedures like ECT. This assignment is ideal for experienced nurses seeking a dynamic role focused on complex mental health cases in a respected, Level I Trauma Center with Magnet and teaching hospital status.
