Job Description:

This registered nurse position in labor and delivery offers a hands-on experience in a Level III trauma center with a focus on antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The role involves managing active labor with 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratios, performing cervical exams, administering epidurals, fetal monitoring, and supporting new mothers through initial breastfeeding and couplet care. The assignment features rotating 12-hour day shifts, providing the chance to work with a diverse patient population in a well-equipped unit that includes specialized neonatal and obstetric services. The hospital’s specialized START unit supports pregnant women seeking addiction treatment, adding a unique dimension to this rewarding role. As part of the team, you will utilize electronic medical records like EPIC Stork and GE Centricity, working closely with support staff including surgery techs, RTs, hospitalists, OB group, and midwives. This contract empowers you to deepen your expertise in labor and delivery while experiencing the vibrant energy of this comprehensive maternity unit.
