Job Description:

This registered nurse role places you in the fast-paced environment of the emergency department at a Trauma Level II facility in Wausau, Wisconsin. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, providing critical care for a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, and geriatrics cases. Your responsibilities include drawing labs, administering neb treatments, and utilizing EPIC for charting. The assignment involves a 13-week contract with a guaranteed 36 hours per week, with opportunities to float to nearby locations such as Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley. During this busy shift, resilience and efficiency are essential as you manage a very face-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse. Being able to adapt to change and work independently will help ensure a smooth and successful experience in this rewarding role.
