Job Description:

Join a fast-paced, 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit in Wausau, WI, for a 13-week contract as a Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down RN. This role involves rotating through night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a schedule of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday. Your responsibilities will focus on managing high patient turnover, including post-op CABG, valve procedures, arrhythmias, CHF, and other cardiac-related conditions in a setting that demands resilience and adaptability. Float to all inpatient units as needed, and be prepared for on-call periods during low census times with potential callback pay. The ideal candidate will have at least one prior travel assignment, strong cardiac experience in SDU, ICU, or intermediate care, and proficiency with EPIC charting. Certifications required include WI RN license, BLS, ACLS, and pass an EKG test during the first week. This assignment offers a dynamic environment where your expertise directly contributes to patient recovery and care excellence.
