Job Description:

Join a bustling inpatient surgical unit in Quincy, Illinois, where you'll be providing specialized care to adult patients recovering from procedures such as neuro-laminectomies, joint replacements, and belly surgeries. This role offers a chance to work with a variety of complex cases, including TPN, Lipids, PICC lines, and epidurals, in a fast-paced environment that keeps you engaged and growing. Expect to collaborate with virtual admission and discharge nurses, and be comfortable interpreting tele monitor strips—Draeger systems are in use here. The unit operates primarily during 12-hour days, giving you ample time to enjoy the scenic surroundings when not on shift. Your expertise in total joint procedures, PCA pumps, and sepsis management will be essential to succeed in this position, which provides an excellent opportunity to deepen your surgical nursing skills amidst a supportive team.
