Job Description:

This contract position is for a registered nurse working night shifts on a 28-bed unit that combines Oncology and Trauma patients. You'll be responsible for managing chemotherapy treatments, titrating medications like insulin and Cardizem, and monitoring patients with techniques such as CVP, Aline, Swan, and EV-1000 hemodynamic assessments. The role offers two days of orientation to familiarize you with the unit's processes and equipment. Expect to collaborate closely with diverse team members, including RN case managers, social workers, and educators, in a setting where respect for cultural diversity and individual beliefs is paramount. The work is both demanding and rewarding, offering an engaging experience for nurses comfortable with oncology and trauma nuances, including the handling of specialized equipment and medications. Due to the nature of the unit, experience with ventilators and cardiac monitoring is preferred, but real-time training can be provided for qualified candidates.
