Job Description:

Join the Observation Unit team at a distinguished specialty care hospital located in the heart of Michigan's upper peninsula. This contract role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients undergoing short-term evaluation and treatment, typically lasting 24-48 hours. You'll be actively engaged in rapid assessments, frequent reassessments, and care coordination to support patients with medical and surgical conditions such as chest pain, asthma exacerbations, TIA, and minor trauma. The work is fast-paced but offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a patient’s journey through short-term observation. Expect a mix of clinical duties including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and patient education, all within a collaborative environment that values efficiency and compassionate care.
