Job Description:

Join a Med/Tele unit supporting adult to older adult patients in a facility where adaptability is key. You'll alternate between two units: the general Medical/Surgical floor and the Observation Unit, providing care for a variety of diagnoses such as hypertension, pneumonia, COVID, and post-surgical monitoring. Expect to monitor patients on basic telemetry, manage IV infusions like heparin and magnesium, and collaborate with respiratory therapy and support staff. This role offers a balanced mix of autonomous nursing and teamwork, with a focus on patient observation and supportive care in a hospital setting that keeps you engaged without routine mechanical ventilation responsibilities. Float between units based on staffing needs, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5 to 1:6. Your experience will include supporting both stable and more complex adult patients, with an emphasis on safety and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
