Job Description:

Join a specialized step down unit at UVA in Charlottesville, where you'll be caring for patients transitioning from Neuro ICU after experiencing neuro trauma, hemorrhages, or post-surgical neurological procedures. This 12-bed unit emphasizes critical care and neuroscience principles, with patient ratios of 1:3. Your role involves providing attentive post-operative care for a diverse neuro patient population, including ENT cancer resection patients and spine surgery cases. Expect a shift of 12 hours during the day, every other weekend and holiday, with opportunities to approve additional time off. This assignment offers a unique insight into neurological recovery processes in an engaging setting that values expertise and adaptability.
