Job Description:

Join a high-acuity, 48-bed unit in Winston-Salem, NC, working as a Registered Nurse in a progressive PCU setting. This role involves managing patients with COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and COVID-19, utilizing skills in IV starts, telemetry, vents, and CPAP/BIPAP management. The shift is a 12-hour day from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours and a 13-week contract. Please note: RTO after booking is not permitted and additional RTO requests could jeopardize your placement. This assignment offers the chance to experience a unit where ventilated patients are managed with a team of respiratory therapists and an assistant nurse manager, ensuring a collaborative environment. Expect to work in a dedicated, higher-acuity setting where efficient patient management and clinical expertise are essential. It's a busy, engaging role with plenty of opportunities to hone your skills in a supportive team atmosphere.
