Job Description:
Join a specialized cardiovascular operating room team as a CVOR Registered Nurse, focusing on ventricular assist device (VAD) management. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for VAD equipment and alarms, providing education to staff, patients, and caregivers about device operation and troubleshooting. Your work will primarily be outpatient-based, involving device downloads, equipment checks, and emergency management over the phone and in clinic settings. This assignment offers the unique opportunity to work with durable VAD devices such as HeartMate 3, HeartMate 2, and BrioVAD, supporting approximately 210 patients. The shift features four consecutive 10-hour days, allowing for extended time off and a balanced schedule. Your expertise will help ensure seamless VAD functioning, making a real difference for patients relying on these life-sustaining devices.
