Job Description:

This contract position is designed for experienced CVICU Registered Nurses with a knack for technical expertise and patient education. You will primarily focus on managing ventricular assist devices (VADs), providing education to patients and caregivers, troubleshooting alarms, and supporting device downloads. Your day will involve working closely with outpatients and participating in procedural areas, with an emphasis on device management for destination therapy cases involving HeartMate and BrioVAD devices. Expect to be the go-to expert in device integrity, alarm troubleshooting, and equipment management, ensuring that both staff and patients are well-informed and supported. The role offers a chance to work in a specialized environment where your clinical skills and technical knowledge make a real difference, all while keeping things engaging with a variety of responsibilities that go beyond typical nursing duties.

Location: Ann Arbor, MI
