Job Description:

This ICU RN contract offers an engaging opportunity to work in a 33-bed unit focused on trauma, cardiac, overdose, and vascular cases. You'll be responsible for managing adult patients with complex diagnoses such as sepsis, post-stent recovery, pacemaker placements, strokes, and respiratory distress. Expect to titrate a variety of drips including cardiac, insulin, and sedation, while monitoring via GE systems. The role involves a mix of night shifts (12 hours) with every other weekend work. The environment challenges RNs to apply their skills in a critical care setting with a diverse patient population. Additionally, you'll perform troubleshooting for respiratory equipment like vents, CPAP, and BiPAP, and interpret monitors to ensure patient safety. This assignment combines technical expertise with hands-on patient management, making it a rewarding experience for critical care professionals seeking a dynamic, fast-paced unit.
