Job Description:

This neuro-focused contract position calls for an experienced MedSurg/Telemetry RN ready to take on 12-hour night shifts in an acute neuro unit. You’ll be closely involved in caring for patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, subdural hematomas, TBI, and other neurological diagnoses. Your days will include managing complex neuro assessments, interpreting EEG trends, and responding quickly to subtle patient changes—no dull moments here. The role offers hands-on opportunities to practice sterile techniques during simulations for Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes, especially at the main campus locations. A strong critical thinking mindset and assessment skills are essential, especially when detecting small neurological shifts. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that values competence in neuro nursing skills and safety protocols. Plus, you’ll work with a team of charge nurses and resource RNs, with the perk of self-scheduling for weekends and holidays.
