Job Description:

Join a newly opening PCU unit in Cornelius, NC, and be part of a team caring for adult medical patients such as CHF, COPD, dialysis, GI bleeds, DKA, and sepsis. This role offers the chance to work with ventilated patients, manage IV drips like Cardizem and insulin, and perform wound care and central line dressings. You’ll experience a balanced workload with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio during 12-hour night shifts, providing both challenge and fulfillment. The team is supported by on-site specialists like RTs and anesthesia, with robust electronic health record (EPIC) systems to streamline your workflow. This assignment is perfect for a nurse comfortable with autonomous practice and eager to expand their skills in a dynamic environment, with the added thrill of working at a unit that will grow from 50% capacity.
