Job Description:

Join an experienced Medical Surgical team specializing in Urology and Nephrology at a prominent Level I trauma center. As a Med Surg RN, you will work night shifts (4x12 or 3x12 nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM), providing vital support in a 25-bed unit with an average daily census of 23 patients. Your role involves managing complex renal cases, including pre/post-hemodialysis, renal failure, and emergent situations requiring telemetry monitoring and rapid response coordination. You'll also perform IV therapy, blood product administration, and assist with various respiratory and genitourinary procedures. This assignment offers an engaging opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced environment where floating within med-surg units is expected. The position requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience, current IL RN licensure, and certifications in BLS. Travel nurses with solid foundational knowledge are encouraged, including first-timers with relevant experience.
