Job Description:

This travel RN position in MedSurg/Tele at a renowned teaching hospital offers the chance to work in a level 1 trauma center with a busy 20-bed unit. You’ll be handling a diverse caseload including CHF, COPD, infections, wounds, and general surgeries, with a typical patient ratio of 1:5. During 12-hour night shifts, your focus will be on tasks like wound care, chest tube management, IV starts, and cardiac rhythm interpretation. The role emphasizes skill in trachs, chest tubes, and IV therapy, with some units requiring experience with non-titrating drips like Heparin and Lasix. Support staff includes CNAs, hospitalists, residents, and 24/7 RT and phlebotomy teams, all utilizing Epic EMR and advanced equipment such as Alaris pumps and Omnicell medication systems. This assignment offers a challenging yet rewarding environment where you will contribute to a busy facility that serves a wide variety of patient needs, with orientation provided to ensure your success from day one.
