Job Description:

This Step Down Registered Nurse position places you on a 12-bed unit that combines critical care and neuroscience principles at the Intermediate level. The role involves caring for patients transferred from Neuro ICU, including those with neuro trauma, subarachnoid hemorrhages, intracerebral hemorrhages, and post-operative spine or ENT tumor resections with flap reconstructions. Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours during the nights, and your responsibilities will include monitoring neurological status, managing post-operative care, and collaborating with a dedicated team. The environment requires adherence to UVa's float policy, and prior Epic experience is a plus. Travel nurses can enjoy a balanced schedule with every other weekend and holiday off, plus the option to approve additional hours for time off.
