Job Description:

This contract opportunity is perfect for a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical Surgical and Neurology specialties. You will work on a 48-bed unit that handles complex neurological conditions such as strokes, aneurysms, seizures, and brain or spinal cord tumors. The role involves caring for up to five Med Surg patients at a time, with some beds equipped for long-term EEG monitoring. You'll be expected to float frequently between units, including specialty areas like Neuro, Stepdown, and Trauma, providing hands-on care in a fast-paced, multi-care level environment. Prior experience in a large, urban hospital with EPIC charting is required. This assignment offers the chance to experience a renowned academic medical center, with a shift schedule of 12-hour nights, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic with three nights on and four nights off. Your duties will include managing drips, working with a dedicated care team including techs and transport, and supporting the hospital’s neuro-focused patient population in Nebraska's top-rated facility.
