Job Description:

This ICU RN contract at Starr Regional Medical Center offers an engaging opportunity to work in a small, yet evolving unit with a soon-to-open 10-bed ICU. You'll be responsible for managing adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as DKA, CVA, and electrolyte imbalances, utilizing advanced equipment like Ventilators and bipaps. The shift is a 12-hour night rotation, providing a consistent schedule for those who prefer overnight work. This assignment is uniquely positioned to give you hands-on experience in a close-knit hospital environment where teamwork and critical thinking are valued. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIH, and a minimum of one year critical care experience is needed. You’ll work closely with Kelley Dockery, the ICU director, in a facility that’s preparing to expand its ICU capacity from 5 to 10 beds. Be prepared to perform some of the most essential skills in critical care, all while enjoying the supportive atmosphere that makes this hospital feel like a family.
