Job Description:

Join a dedicated team at the 6W Transplant Nephrology unit within Research Medical Center, located in the vibrant city of Kansas City. This role involves providing specialized med/surg nursing care to patients undergoing kidney transplants and dialysis. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, offering continuity for both patients and staff, and enjoy a schedule that includes three weekend shifts per month. Your responsibilities will include administering treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with a team that includes unit secretaries, PCTs, and an educator to ensure smooth workflows. The unit emphasizes teamwork and precision, with documentation handled via Meditech and policies tailored to renal transplant care. If you have an ADN, BLS certification, and experience in nephrology, this assignment provides a rewarding opportunity to make an impact in a setting that values skill, professionalism, and collaborative spirit.
