Job Description:

Join Aspirus Wausau’s Short Stay Unit as a travel nurse, working 12-hour night shifts in an 8-bed observation unit. This assignment is perfect for experienced RNs comfortable with reading and interpreting EKG strips, managing multiple admissions and discharges, and floating across inpatient units like IMC and CTU. Your main responsibilities will include monitoring patients with conditions such as anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and post-op Urology and GI cases. You’ll handle drips including Cardiac Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin, with an average patient stay of up to 48 hours. Be prepared for a fast-paced environment requiring resilience, independence, and a positive attitude as you collaborate with team members to provide excellent patient experiences.
