Job Description:

Join our emergency nursing team for a travel contract in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where you'll be stepping into a vibrant 24/7 Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center. This role involves providing critical care support during 12-hour night shifts, with the flexibility to float to other units and hospitals as needed. Expect to handle a diverse patient population across all age groups, including trauma and stroke cases, in a setting where the nurse-patient ratios can be as low as 1:1. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-capacity ED that treats over 60,000 patients annually, emphasizing collaboration with a dedicated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff. You'll be expected to bring at least 18 months of recent ER experience, hold all required certifications including AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC, and possess an active Alabama or Compact RN license. The role is designed for nurses who thrive on fast-paced environments, enjoy a challenge, and are flexible to float across units.
