Job Description:

Join a Med Surg RN team in Marshfield for a 13-week contract working evening shifts. This position involves caring for patients with orthopedics, vascular issues, urology, neuro-spine procedures, and oncology. You'll be responsible for monitoring and titrating infusions like heparin, nitro, and insulin, utilizing telemetry equipment supported by 24/7 telemetry techs. The unit has 29 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios typically ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on the shift. You will collaborate with charge nurses and nursing assistants, handling patient assessments, vital signs, ADL support, and assisting with wound dressings and post-op care. Experience in acute care and familiarity with titrations, telemetry, and ventilator support (CPAP, BIPAP, High Flow) are essential. The role offers a blend of hands-on patient work and team coordination in a hospital setting, with a professional dress code and comprehensive orientation provided.
