Job Description:

Join the Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down nursing team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for a 13-week contract that places you in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac unit. You'll provide specialized care for patients recovering from cardiac surgeries like CABG, valve repairs, and ablations, as well as those experiencing arrhythmias, heart failure, and other acute cardiac conditions. This role involves monitoring complex cardiac rhythms, administering advanced medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips, and managing patient transitions in a dynamic environment. Your hands-on expertise will shine through as you handle a patient ratio of approximately 1:4, float across inpatient units to meet demand, and participate in maintaining a high standard of cardiovascular care. The shift is 12 hours during the day, with opportunities to work during holidays and every other weekend, ensuring a well-rounded experience in cardiac step-down nursing.
