Job Description:

Join a reputable hospital in Newburgh, Indiana, for a 13-week contract as a stepdown nurse on a day shift schedule. In this role, you will manage post-surgical cardiac patients, including those with pacers, post-interventions, and complications such as sepsis, strokes, and feeding tube management. The position involves interpreting 12-lead EKGs, initiating and titrating IV drips, and performing neuro assessments like NIHSS and dysphagia screens. You'll work with a dedicated team in a 16-bed unit that emphasizes teamwork, with excellent CNA support and supportive charge nurses. This assignment offers a mix of clinical challenges and professional growth, including occasional cross-campus float to neighboring facilities within the organization.
