Job Description:

This contract position as a Respiratory Therapist offers the chance to work in a fast-paced adult critical care setting, focusing on neuro diagnostics and advanced respiratory support. You’ll be responsible for tasks like extubation, nasal airway placements, suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, and administering various inhaled medications. The role involves delivering advanced oxygen therapies such as BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula, with opportunities to troubleshoot ventilator alarms and assist with weaning from mechanical ventilation. Experience in Trauma Level 1 facilities and proficiency with EPIC charting are required. The shift is from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am for 36 hours per week over 13 weeks, with every other weekend on call and floating to other units as needed.
