Job Description:

Join a busy Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit in Wausau, Wisconsin, where you'll be the backbone of a 36-bed Med Surg unit heavy on telemetry. This 13-week travel contract offers 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing an engaging opportunity to work with a variety of complex cases including ventilator and trach management, sepsis, trauma, GI bleeds, and spinal injuries. You'll enjoy the challenge of managing a 4:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced environment with a focus on stability and weaning off vents. The role requires a seasoned traveler with at least 2 years of ICU or stepdown experience, including ventilator and trach expertise, and familiarity with EPIC charting. Expect to float to higher acuity units when needed, and be prepared for every other weekend and holiday shifts. The contract is ideal for resilient professionals comfortable managing change and working independently, with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient recoveries in a supportive setting.
